Ferocious funnyman Zack Galifianakis got a taste of his own medicine from US President Obama in online interview.

The Hangover star Zach Galifianakis has been hosting awkward celebrity chats on his online show Between Two Ferns for some time and normally gets the best of his interviewees.

But his latest interview with President Barack Obama went viral yesterday after the tables were turned on Galifianakis and he found himself at the receiving end of a grilling.

The star has been broadcasting these interviews for a few years on funnyordie.com and has interviewed such stars as Justin Bieber and Hangover buddy Bradley Cooper.

But yesterday President Obama came on to push Obamacare to the younger generation of the US for a hilarious six minute interview.

After host Zack poked fun at the President about not being able to run for office for a third time, Obama cooly replied: “If I ran a third time it would be sort of like doing a third Hangover movie. Didn’t really work out very well, did it?”

After the show’s producer approached the White House last summer, suggesting Obama join the show to promote Obama Care, he agreed and recorded the show two weeks ago.

The President used the interview to his advantage to push the online health programme after it failed to launch last October, he seems to be targeting the younger generations by claiming ‘They can get coverage, all for what it would cost you to pay for your cell phone bill.’

The video has currently attracted 11 million views on site funnyordie.com after it was shared across social network sites relentlessly on Tuesday.

And although many Americans feel the president should be using his time more wisely and spent dealing with more important issues, within hours of the interview being posted, the traffic to the healthcare.gov spiked, with the video being the number one source of traffic to the site.
