Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens was released in cinemas earlier this week, the heavily anticipated and long awaited sequel has raked in millions in just a few days. The global revenue is strong in this one!
Once again, we’re featuring Star Wars in our ACBA image of the week, Kylo Ren and stormtroopers!
Our shot comes to us from Jose Villaruz aka Princedraco. It’s a brilliant looking piece of artistry.
We reached out to Jose for some words on how the piece came together and also his thoughts on the latest movie (spoiler free!) the following is what he had to say:
“I took the photo the night before I watched Episode 7! I just couldn’t sleep that night because I was so excited to see the movie the next morning! So I got up, took out my stormtroopers and I totally forgot that Kylo Ren’s package just arrived.”
“I saw Kylo’s box still sealed so I decided to take him out and put him in the middle, and then Tah dah!! hahaha! But seriously, what really inspired me to take this photo was my affinity towards the whole starwars franchise. I am not a die hard fan, but I grew up watching all the star wars movies, playing star wars games on the PC, PS1 and PS4.”
“I remember the first time I Star Wars movie I watched was Empire Stikes back, I was like 5 years old or something. After that I watched A New Hope, and the rest is history. I fell in love with Darth Vader’s character after watching my first star wars movie hahaha!”
“Now all I can say for all you people who haven’t watched Episode 7 yet.. Drop what you’re doing and go to the nearest movie theater because you’re missing like the best 2 hours and 45 minutes of your life!! I love it! and I’ll be watching it maybe 4 more times with my wife, then with my friends, and then with my office mates! haha!”
